Outdoor Classroom Eyam
Hector and Cedric were commissioned by the Ruskin Mill Educational Trust to build a Outdoor Classroom.
Located at the Eyam Edge site located in the Peak District National Park.
Part of the Brantwood specialist school, the off- grid outdoor classroom and farm offers unique outdoor learning opportunities. Including green woodwork skills, horticulture, animal husbandry and a host of other crafts.
Hector and Cedric designed and installed the large traditionally jointed Douglas fir timber frame barn structure.
The exterior walls and fascias are clad in natural edge larch cladding. The cladding was milled on site with a portable sawmill. Our team went on to install the large living green roof that nestles into the Peak District landscape.
